My First Love

I will admit, I have had a love before Gavin… and that love is still going strong, only now, I have someone special to share it with. That love is for a special place, a place called, Disneyland.

To me, Disneyland is more than a place, it revisits a time in everyone's childhood when danger and adventure lured us into the possibilities of the imagination. It’s a place where you can be a kid at any age. A place were, just as Uncle Walt said; "Here age relives fond memories of the past." I believe nothing could be more true than those simple words. I know every time I go to the park I feel like I did the first time I visited. There's just a "MAGIC" that gets into your soul that you just can't explain. The place just makes you live for that moment and nothing else. It reminds us of when anything could be believed and make-believe was real. It is the romance of knowing that there is good in this world and that you want to share it with someone, even if it is just holding their hand across a moonlit bridge. It is the magic of promise for better days and the righting of wrongs. It dares you to imagine what life should be and encourages you to make it so. That is what I love about Disneyland. It is "MAGIC FOR THE SOUL"

Some of my fondest memories come from this magical kingdom. One journal entry I found about Disneyland is when we were really little and my grandma promised that when Taylor, the youngest grandchild at the time, turned eight, she would take us there. All six grandchildren were ecstatic for that day we would be able to run into the open arms of that friendly and welcoming mouse.
Well, that day finally came… and passed without any sign of the upcoming trip. Since then, three more grandchildren were born. When the subject was brought up with our grandma, she said that she would take us when Sammy, a newborn at the time, was old enough. The older kids were disappointed because it was likely that we could be married and possibly have our own kids by that time. It looked like our childhood dream of the happiest place on earth would never come true.
Christmas came, and my grandma gives all the kids identical wrapped packages and tells us to open them at the same time. Inside, was a pair of little Mickey Mouse sunglasses. All the older grandkids realized what they meant, while the younger kids were perfectly happy just playing with them.
WE WERE GOING TO DISNEYLAND IN APRIL!!! My grandma had been saving for years so we could go and get the deluxe treatment. We would be staying in the Disneyland Resort in a top suite for four days. It was the best present I have ever received.
Our first night, we went to Downtown Disney and had dinner with the whole family.
The next morning we woke up bright and early so we could get to the park right when it opened. But when we walked outside we were surprised to see that is was pouring! We weren’t going to let that dampen our spirits. We were going to enjoy ourselves nonetheless. So everyone threw on ponchos, and took off for the park.
Although none of the fun characters were out and about for autographs, we had so much fun! My two cousins my age went to the Disney store and tried on princess dresses and took silly pictures.
I cannot believe how much fun we had that whole week together. I love spending time with my family and I cannot wait until our next big trip.
I also cannot wait until I have opportunities to share those experiences with my own kids. It really is a happy place, but being with my family makes it, without a doubt, the “Happiest Place on Earth.”

Journal entry #2
It always seems like at every family vacation someone has to get sick and throw up. Why this happens, I have no idea. But it happens without fail.
My “favorite” time we had a mishap was yet another trip to Disneyland. My baby sister was maybe three or four years old, and it was her first time to that magical place.
The morning we were first going to the park, she woke up feeling sick. We thought she would be ok in a few hours so we kept getting ready. All of the sudden, she threw up all over the hotel floor. But that is not the worst part; my dad had seen it coming and tried to prevent it from getting all over the place, with his hands! That’s right; he dove and caught the majority of the sick in his hands! That alone, made me want to puke.
And of course, she felt better after that, so we headed out. We waited for a little while in line before we could get in, and right when we got through the gates, guess who blows chunks again!? Oh yes… And guess who caught it again?! Oh yes… But guess who got to take her into the bathroom and clean her up? That’s right, me. Eww. I do not even remember why my mom did not do it herself, is not that what mom’s are suppose to do? But no, I took her to clean her off like a good big sister.
I guess it just goes to show how hard it is to be a parent. I asked my dad why in the world he would feel the need to do something “heroic” like that. He said, that as a parent, you learn that it is easier to clean up vomit off your body than it does clothes, carpet or cement; eventually it becomes a reflex and you do not even notice it anymore.
I do not know if I will ever get to this level of extreme parenting with my future children, but I must say, it is quite impressive that he would have the “guts,” (pun intended) to do something like that.

Disney has helped me find my one true love. It was approximately two years ago and for my birthday, Gav and I traveled with Dixie State College to spend the day at Disneyland. We left on a Friday night and traveled on a bus ALL night long. Then on Saturday, we spent the day exploring and having fun. Then at midnight, we got back on the bus and traveled home all night long.

Gavin and I had the best time ever. We skipped down main street, we had our pictures taken, we shared yummy treats, we danced at the parade. We held hands and kissed by the castle. We even hunted for a piece of grass to take a quick nap. (The only place we could find was on the far end of Downtown Disney) It was one of the best days ever. It got even better as we were waiting for the fireworks to start. It was chilly, so we were wrapped in a blanket when a voice came over the intercom explaining that due to high winds, the firework show would be canceled. We were a little bummed, but it had been a long day, so we walked for a bit and found ourselves at the base of the castle, surrounded by streams and beds of roses. For a brief time the lines between my life and my dreams blur and become one. Gavin looked deep into my eyes and told me that he loved me. It was as if I had been picked up out of the daily routine and placed in my favorite movie, alongside dreamers, stars and champions. It couldn’t have been any better. I knew I loved him back and I knew we would spend the rest of our lives together.
I was at my castle, and I had found my prince.

Lauren's Top Things To Experience at Disneyland

Indiana Jones:
There is nothing that compares to the thrills of the Indiana Jones ride, and it begins before you even set foot on the ride! Just standing in the line is an adventure on its own. It is the first ride we run to when we enter the park. We grab our fast passes for later on during the day and make our way through the maze. One of my favorite memories of the ride was when my little cousin, Dylan, was trying to get onto the ride. He had been looking forward to this ride for months, and when we went to get in line, the ride operator stopped him, and said that he wasn’t tall enough. So we all got out of the line and tried to figure out what to do. Dylan was devastated. He was less than an inch away from being able to ride. Suddenly, my aunt had an idea and ran into the nearby bathroom. She came out holding two feminine hygiene pads. All the girls burst out laughing as she made him take off his shoes and stuck them in the souls.
“What are those?” Dylan asked.
“You do not want to know,” was the reply.
So we hopped back in line and asked the operator to check again. She gave us a suspicious look, but let him go anyway. Dylan LOVED it… Addie? Not so much.

Pirates of the Caribbean:
Another one of my all time favorite rides. This one, not so much for the “thrills” as for the atmosphere. I LOVE the way it feels down there and the way it smells. (Yes, the way it smells! It’s the smell of adventure!) Nothing beats the feeling of drifting by the Blue Bayou and seeing all the twinkling lights before you head off into a dark pirate battle. I have always had a love for pirates and have wanted to be one ever since I can remember and being on that little boat really makes me feel like one! (It will probably be as close as I will ever get to being one.:)
If I could, I would ride this ride over and over again. Oh, and I love Jack Sparrow. 

Tiki Juice Bar:
Best cool, tasty treat in the park! Enough said.

Haunted Mansion (Holiday)
During the halloween and christmas season, this ride is transformed into two rides at once! It combimes The Nightmare Before Christmas and the Haunted Mansion into one fun ride. The ride basically remains the same, but all the artwork and decorations are changed to involved more of Jack Skellington and his friends. My favorite part is when you go through the cemetery and its snowing! Awesome.

The Intimacy
Let me explain what I mean… I love how when you are at Disneyland, people just seem to treat everyone around them, kinder. There is a magic in the air that make you feel grateful you are all in this together. Everyone seems a bit more patient, a bit more caring and a bit more innocent at heart.

The History
I love the history and the meaning of Disneyland. If you have ever taken time to read the plaque before you rush off to your first ride (Indiana Jones) it says:

TO ALL WHO COME TO THIS HAPPY PLACE: WELCOME. DISNEYLAND IS YOUR LAND. HERE AGE RELIVES FOND MEMORIES OF THE PAST, AND HERE YOUTH MAY SAVOR THE CHALLENGE AND PROMISE OF THE FUTURE. DISNEYLAND IS DEDICATED TO THE IDEALS, THE DREAMS, AND THE HARD FACTS THAT HAVE CREATED AMERICA, WITH THE HOPE THAT IT WILL BE A SOURCE OF JOY AND INSPIRATION TO ALL THE WORLD

What a beautiful way to sum up what Disneyland is all about! Here you can be eight or 80 and still have the same experience. Some of these rides at Disneyland have been around for 50 years, but the fact that they never get old says a lot. Nothing like nostalgia.

Space Mountain:
I just believe that you should sit beside someone on a roller coaster. You need to be able to grab your honey when you are scared. (Sitting almost in his lap on Matterhorn is ok too. I know that’s why Gavin liked it.)

Paradise Pier:
Is in California Adventure but is such a fun and restful place. I love to sit there and people watch. I LOVE LOVE LOVE seeing little families with little kids and seeing that joy and excitement from being at the Happiest Place on Earth. I cannot WAIT to bring my children here! Paradise Pier is a tribute to what we longed for in our childhood; music, color, food, water, sun. It’s one of the things Disney does best; reading our minds and creating what our hearts saw.

Soaring Over California:
Who doesn’t LOVE this ride? Seriously? This ride is epic! This ride engulfs ALL of your senses. You can feel the wind in your hair and the smell of pine and orange trees as you glide over the entire state of California. Ah… I can smell the oranges now.

World of color:
Just recently, Disneyland has introduced a new show called World of Color and if you haven’t seen this yet, pack your bags and go NOW. Seriously. This show is one of the most mind blowing, enchanting shows you will ever see. The World of Color nighttime water spectacular weaves water, color, fire and light into a kaleidoscope of fantasy and imagination. More than 1,000 jets of water form incredible shapes in time to the music as Disney characters come to life on a shimmering veil of mist. Different clips include: Beauty and the Beast, Little Mermaid, Finding Nemo and Pirates of the Caribbean. Oh. My. Gosh. A-MAZING. It was so beautiful, I cried.

One of my ALL TIME FAVORITE quotes is by the actor, Dustin Hoffman; and he once said… “In Peter Pan there is a place called Never Land and if you ask people what the metaphor is, you will get different answers. One person might say that it is a journey to imagination, to creativity. Others might say it means you never die. Never Land is the place that exists, for all of us, in the wish part of our brains.”

I would have to agree with Mr. Hoffman, but I would also like to point out that Never Land really does exist for all of us. It IS real. It is known as the Happiest Place on Earth. It is a magical place called... Disneyland.

Mission Call for Elder Jones

"Oklahoma, where the wind comes sweepin' down the plain!!!"

Oh Levi! We definitely didn't see this one coming, and we really should have! How exciting! How special! How perfect! :) My brother is serving a mission! My only brother! Wow. I couldnt BE more proud!

Ok, so I dont know much about Oklahoma, other than my Grandma and Grandpa Jones live there, so I took the liberty to find some interesting facts about the good ole Sooner State.

Fun Facts:

In Bristow, Oklahoma it is against the law to serve water to a customer in a restaurant unless one peanut in a shell is also served. The consequences for this "serious” offence can result in a fine of up to five dollars.

If you play catch in the streets of Bartlesville, you’re breaking the law.

Per square mile, Oklahoma has the most tornadoes of all U.S. states. (Dont worry, you will be fine.)

Whaling is illegal in the state of Oklahoma. (No way!)

Oklahoma was the setting for the movie "Twister".

Women may NOT gamble in the nude, in lingerie, or while wearing a towel in Schulter. (Thank GOODNESS!)

Oklahoma is the where Joseph Donnelly (played by Tom Cruise from Far and Away) races to get his "free land"

It is unlawful to put any hypnotized person in a display window in Hawthahorne.

Garth Brooks was born in Tulsa and grew up in Yukon, Oklahoma .

Another Levi, Levi Hughes from St. George, Utah was just called to Tulsa too. He will be entering the MTC on 13 Apr 2011. Maybe you should facebook him. :)

Oklahoma has the largest Native American population of any state in the nation. Many of the 250,000 American Indians living in Oklahoma are descended from 67 tribes who inhabited Indian Territory in the 19th century. Oklahoma is tribal headquarters for 39 tribes. (Thats cool)

One
may not promote a horse tripping event or a bear wresting exhibition in Oklahoma. (Awww! Nuts!)

The official State Meal of Oklahoma is chicken fried steak, fried okra, squash, cornbread, barbecue pork, biscuits, sausage and gravy, grits, corn, strawberries, black eyed peas and pecan pie. (You wont go hungry!)

It is mandatory in Oklahoma that you must tether your car outside a public building. (Its MANDATORY, Levi!)

Henry Starr, one of the last outlaws of the Old West was from Oklahoma . During his 32 years in crime, he claimed to have robbed more banks than both the James-Younger Gang and the Doolin-Dalton Gang put together.

While passing another vehicle in Yukon, it is mandatory to honk your horn. (Fun!)

Oklahoma's state dance is the square dance. (Yee Haw! Bow to your partner.)

Things to do (On P days of Course!)

Go see the greatest shirtless statue you've never heard of, the Golden Driller. No, he's not gold -- more of a dry-river-bed brown -- but he stands with his derrick for photo opps. And you can sit on his foot if you like.

Someone online said to go to India Palace. Eat the buffet, then walk straight back into the kitchen, purposefully, without asking, and thank the chef personally. You will be rewarded with a sizzling 'fire/oil show' on the frying pans.

America's shrine to the sport of wrestling, the National Wrestling Hall of Fame and Museum, is a focal point for the past, the present and the future. It preserves the heritage of the sport, celebrates new achievements, and encourages the youth of our land to aspire to lofty goals.

So according to the mission website, this is your area. So, technically, you will be serving in Kansas, Missouri and Arkansas as well! Whoa! That is so flipping cool, Elder!

Levi, you will do AWESOME there and you will love it so much! Someday you will have to take us all there after your mission and show us everything that you saw and did. We love you, Levi!

Oh Happy Day!

Today is a very special day, today my awesome brother, Levi (or I should say Elder Jones) got his mission call! Although we dont know where he is going quite yet... (We'll find out at 5:00 PM) I couldnt be more proud!

Levi, you are so amazing and I cannot wait to hear about your adventures of serving. I know without a doubt that wherever you are called to, is where you are supposed to be. Those people need you. Their spirits have been waiting for you. You will bring so much light into their lives. I am so thankful for the example you are setting for our family, our friends, your friends and your future nieces and nephews!

I look up and admire you so much, Levi. I couldnt ask for a better brother and friend.
Levi, you have worked so hard to get to this point and you're efforts will be so blessed!

Article of Faith 1:5 says:

“We believe that a man must be called of God, by prophecy, and by the laying on of hands, by those who are in authority to preach the Gospel and administer the ordinances thereof.”

There is no better demonstration of the above Article of Faith than when the Lord calls a young man or woman in the Church to a full-time mission.

Elder Ronald A. Rasband said,

"At this time in your life, a mission call from the Lord, my young friends, is the most important work that you can do. Prepare now, live righteously, learn from your family and Church leaders, and come join with us in building the kingdom of God on earth—accept your divine appointment in “so great a cause.”

YAY ELDER JONES!!! I couldnt be more proud!

Stay tuned for our my next post on where Levi will be going! If you have any guesses, comment below! Person with the closest guess will get a candybar! :)

Happy Birthday!!

Today I would like to talk about one of the most amazing, most wonderful and most incredible men in my life. . .
My Dad!

Today is my dad's birthday and I cant tell you how much I love and admire this guy. First off, he is super funny and so incredibly hard working and patient. I have always considered my mom and I to be really really close, but I consider myself a Daddy's Girl. Ever since I could remember, I always wanted to be like him. I would eat Ruffles potato chips and peanut butter and jelly sanwiches because they're his favorite. I would love eating my oreo's in milk because that's how he eats them. One thing I never knew for a long time was how my dad didnt like cheese or rice. My mom told him to never let us kids know because we probably wouldnt eat it either. Which was probably true.

Something about my dad is that he is a police officer, so you'd think he'd a stern tough guy. Although that is true some of the time, my dad is a big goofball. (As you can see from some of the pics below)

One of my favorite memories is before Gavin and I were engaged and Gav was coming to pick me up for a date. My dad came into the kitchen and whipped out his police hand gun and started cleaning it just minutes before Gav was supposed to show up. My mom and Iwere on him like white on rice. (Yes, the kind my dad doesnt like)

And told him to put it away.... NOW.

Another fun memory is when Gav and my Dad went out to dinner (without my knowledge) to ask for his permission to marry me. My dad had a tape recorder in his pocket the whole time, recording the entire conversation. After the engagement, Dad let me listen. It was still months before I told Gavin. :)
Good times, good times. :)

I think I can honestly say I have the BEST dad EVER!!!

Happy Birthday, Dad. I LOVE YOU!

Memories

I know we have posted a lot on Aaron lately, but honestly, its been such a big blow in our life. We miss him and this is such a great way to cope and help others as well.

This past weekend, we went to Aaron's funeral and it was such an amazing experience. Gavin had the opportunity to speak about his best friend. One thing he touched on was how Aaron wasnt just HIS best friend, he was many peoples best friend. He just had this magnetic personality that made people want to get to know him.

Gav had the opportunity to share several peoples fond memories of Aaron. There was definitely a healing power coming though his words.

After the funeral we were able to go to the luncheon. We enjoyed being with friends and being a support and a shoulder to lean on.

Aaron, I hope you know how many people loved and admired you. I hope you know how many peole looked up to you and will miss the crap out of you.

One of my favorite memories was when was in St. George about 2 years ago. I was working at the Hilton and I got a phone call from this "redneck" (I could tell it was him even with his lame accent) He started asking weird questions and how to get to my hotel. I wanted to give him a hard time but my boss was right there listening in on the call! Finally he asked what exit to take. I told him and also said that if you have gotten to Hurricane you have gone too far. He then exclaimed in a panic, "There is a HURRICANE?!" I busted up laughing and hung up on him. (Luckily by then my boss had left) So later that night, I told him he had gotten me in soooo much trouble and i might have lost my job. He felt so bad and offered to call my boss and explain. Ah... It was great to be the one pranking him for a change.

Those were some good times. And I only knew you for two short years, one thing I learned from you was to stay in touch and cherish every friendship in your life. You never know how much time you have.

I would like to thank all those in my life that have changed my life for the better. One of my favorite songs is from Wicked. The words say:

"I've heard it said that people come into our lives for a reason; bringing something we must learn. And we are lead to those who help us most to grow, if we let them, and we hlep them in return.
Well I dont know if I believe thats true. But I know I'm who I am today, because I knew you...

It well may be, that we will never meet again in this lifetime, so let me say before we part, so much of me is made of what I learn from you. You'll be with me, like a handprint on my heart. And whatever way our stories end, I know you have rewritten mine by being my friend."

I will have Gavin post his talk soon.

Aaron Thomas Davies

Aaron Thomas Davies

1985 ~ 2011

Aaron Thomas Davies, age 25, passed away March 4, 2011, at his parents' home in Spanish Fork, Utah.

Aaron was born March 11, 1985 to Ted and Kaye Davies. He was a loving son, brother, uncle and friend. He was a very passionate person, always giving his fullest effort. He loved his family and in his free time, you could find Aaron playing with his nieces and nephews and spending time with his family and friends.

Aaron achieved the great honor of being an Eagle Scout. He graduated with honors from Spanish Fork High School in 2004 where he played football, basketball and was on the track team and received 9 athletic letters. Aaron attended Dixie State on an academic and athletic scholarship where he played football. He was a Resident Assistant for the on-campus housing for one year and the following year the Head Resident Assistant over all on-campus housing activities. He was a senior at Dixie State and planned on receiving his bachelor's degree in Business Management.

Until We Meet Again, Friend.

Aaron,

Even though I didn't know you for as long as Gavin did, I still considered you to be a very close friend. You were always so kind and full of energy, the life of the party. I am so thankful for the friendship you provided to Gavin and I. You had this light about you that invited others in.

You fought a good fight, Aaron. I know you are in a better place now and were called home early for a reason. Heavenly Father needs warriors on the other side of the veil too, and I know that is where you are now. We know that life continues beyond the grave and that there is important work to be done by those who have gone on.

It is never easy to lose a friend to death. But the knowledge which the gospel provides can be a enormous comfort to us.

We WILL see you again. Of course, our loss will not be easy, but God will comfort us and the hurt will eventually go away. The memories we have will be happy and joyful as we reflect on the good times spent together sharing our lives.

Thank goodness for the plan of salvation.

Jesus Christ blesses those who mourn and commands us to “Live together in love, insomuch that thou shalt weep for the loss of them that die” (D&C 42:45).

The tears for the loss of our friend, brother, uncle and son are not wrong. These tears do not indicate a lack of faith in God’s plan. Comfort can, and will reach us, but we will NEVER forget, we will NEVER doubt. We will remain faithful.

Until we meet again, Aaron. We love you.

Disney Day Challenge

Ok so I am the most impatient person ever and I totally dont want to take more time to do this... so I am just going to finish it up now...

DAY 14: Favorite villain-Hook and Gaston…
These two are just funny. You love to hate them.

DAY 15: Favorite romantic moment--Hmmm... The lights on Tangled! So cute and magical.

DAY 16: Favorite singing voice-Belle... again. :) But I do love them ALL!

DAY 17: Best eyes-Esemerelda. I think she might be the only one with GREEN eyes

DAY 18: Favorite name-Yzma and Tinkerbelle . I don’t know… They are just COOL!

DAY 19: Favorite soundtrack-Enchanted! LOOOOOOVE it!

DAY 20: Funniest moment- UP loved it all

DAY 21: Favorite quote-"When you wish upon a star..." Classic.

DAY 22: Bravest princess- Ok I found a WHOLE article about this! Check it out!

9.Aurora
Aurora came in last in this countdown for one obvious reason- We simply didn't see her do anything brave. It's not that Aurora isn't brave but she really doesn't get a chance to show us her personality so we can only assume off of what we know.

8.Snow White
Obviously next in line is Snow White. She certainly has some moments of bravery (going into a stranger's house, recovering so quickly after being terrified), but mostly she's just a damsel in distress. She doesn't know how to fend for herself, but can you blame the poor girl. Snow White was terrified running through the woods, but for good reasons. It still shows that she is not one to stick up for herself or be calm during a dangerous situation.

7.Cinderella
Cinderella simply doesn't do anything super brave. She's brave enough to put up with her stepfamily, but a lot of that has to do with the animal friends she has. She was brave enough to go to the ball at risk of being caught, but got help from her Godmother. All in all, Cinderella is mildly brave but requires a lot of help from friends to be so.

6.Jasmine
Anyone who's seen the sequels to Aladdin know Jasmine can kick butt, literally. She's brave enough to speak her mind. Was daring enough to polevault over a building, was brave enough to run away from home. But she also lets other people solve her problems, she's a bit of a damsel in distress at times, and she doesn't do anything incredibly brave.

5.Tiana
Tiana has a brave soul. She's worked a long time all her life to earn her restaurant, and is brave enough and has enough fortitude to keep working even with all her hardships. While Tiana may be brave in a realistic sense, she's not brave in the fact that she never does anything courageous. She's certainly consistently bold throughout her film, but other than that, she never really faces anything truly fearful.

4.Belle
While Belle was consistently less bold and fortuitous than Tiana, she certainly did more single brave acts. Instead of running away from the wolves, she battled them off. She was of course, brave enough to take her father's place in the Beast's castle, knowing she would be giving up her freedom in the process, something a lot of us wouldn't be brave enough to do. But that bravery also has something to do with loyalty, and the fact that Belle didn't have too much to lose.

3.Ariel
Ariel is certainly one of the braver princesses, as well as the first one to be truly heroic. She saved Eric from a raging storm, dodging in between fire and debris, was brave enough to give up her voice for only a 3 day chance to win her love, and was brave enough to dive in the water after Eric when he was sailing away.

2.Pocahontas
Pocahontas is certainly brave. She jumps off waterfalls & canoes down rivers. She was also brave enough to sneakily follow John and jump in front of him, talk to him when no one else would, sneak off in the night at risk of getting caught, as well as risking her life to save John Smith. However, a lot of HER bravery was fueled by recklessness and just plain daring.

1.Mulan

Mulan could've left when Shang dismisses her during the song make a man out of you, or after they find out she's a woman and leave her yet still staying in the drawn out danger and risking your life a lot when you don't need to. On top of that, I also just find Mulan's shows of bravery bigger and better.

She was conscious about everything she did, and what will be consequences if she get discovered. She has to live with those thoughts all the time but she never turned back or even thought to give up. "

DAY 23: Favorite dance scene-LOVE the Beauty and the Beast dance.

Day 24: Favorite Parent--- I chose the parents on Tangled. Why you ask? They dont even say anything! Well I chose them because this movie is one of the RARE Disney shows where BOTH the parents are there. I really, REALLY appreciated that. :)

DAY 25: Favorite lyrics-

See the Light-Tangled

All those days watching from the windows
All those years outside looking in
All that time never even knowing
Just how blind I've been
Now I'm here, blinking in the starlight
Now I'm here, suddenly I see
Standing here, it's all so clear
I'm where I'm meant to be

And at last I see the light
And it's like the fog has lifted
And at last I see the light
And it's like the sky is new
And it's warm and real and bright
And the world has somehow shifted
All at once everything looks different
Now that I see you

Eugene(Flynn):
All those days chasing down a daydream
All those years living in a blur
All that time never truly seeing
Things, the way they were
Now she's here shining in the starlight
Now she's here, suddenly I know
Find More lyrics at www.sweetslyrics.com
If she's here it's crystal clear
I'm where I'm meant to go

Rapunzel & Eugene (Flynn):
And at last I see the light

Eugene (Flynn):
And it's like the fog is lifted

Rapunzel & Eugene (Flynn):
And at last I see the light

Rapunzel:
And it's like the sky is new

Rapunzel & Eugene (Flynn):
And it's warm and real and bright
And the world has somehow shifted
All at once, everything is different
Now that I see you, now that I see you

DAY 26: Most magical moment-Beauty and the Beast- The Transformation. I remember when I first saw this and was SOOO happy that he didn’t die and that Belle’s love for him saved him and the entire castle. I still get a bit teary…

DAY 27: Best wardrobe Sleeping Beauty. I only say this because she has one dress, but it changes colors!!! Wouldn’t that be the life? Just have a few things in your closet and can change the color according to your mood?
SWA-EET! “Make it PINK!”

DAY 28: Favorite sequel-- Toy Story. Both one and two were awesome. Lots of time it seems like sequels are NEVER as good as the first. But these BOTH rocked.

DAY 29: Favorite overall moment-- The feeling you get after watching a Disney Film. No matter if its one you are seeing for the very first time, or one you have seen thousands of times, I LOVE that feeling you get that there is magic in the world and dreams really do come true.

DAY 30: Favorite happy ending Psh... ALL Duh!

THE END!

What I Am Reading

For those who know me well, know that I am a book-a-holic. I love to read and escape into distant, unknown stories and lose myself there for awhile. If someone were to ask me how many books I have read, I wouldnt be able to tell ya. If you were to ask me how many times I have read any one particular book, I wouldnt be able to tell ya either. I would be able to say that its definitely more than once. (If you enjoy a book, why only read it once, right?)

Last night, I just finished The Maze Runner by James Dashner.

I have heard about this book and am sorry its taken me this long to read.

Basically the book is about a boy named Thomas who wakes up in a dark elevator. His memory is blank but the only thing he can remember is his first name. . . But he’s not alone. When the lift’s doors open, Thomas finds himself surrounded by kids who welcome him to the Glade—a large, open expanse surrounded by stone walls. Just like Thomas, the Gladers don’t know why or how they got to the Glade. All they know is that every morning the stone doors to the maze that surrounds them have opened. Every night they’ve closed tight. And every 30 days another kid is sent up. But something strange happens when the first girl ever arrive in the Glade is sent up the next day. And more surprising yet is the message she delivers. Thomas might be more important than everyone expected. If only he could unlock the dark secrets buried within his mind.

Dun dun dun!!!

I really enjoyed this book, lately I have been really into the weird/post apocalypse/mysterious stories lately. And this book has all three!

I seriously finished this book in a day and a half (Which isnt too odd for me, I am a way fast reader.)

The book does leave off with a cliff hanger (of course!) And luckily, the second book, The Scorch Trials, is out and ready for me to read. Although... there IS a THIRD book that wont be released until the fall of 2011... Do I wait to read the next book so I can jump right into the third? OR shall I just dive right in and read the second, which will most likely end in another cliff hanger and have to WAIT until fall? Does anyone else have these problems? :)

Anyway, I enjoyed it and if you are looking for a good read, this one is fabulous!
