Storybook Adventures

Hey... Thanks for letting me vent the other day about chasing dreams. I dont know if anyone read it, nor do I mind if no one did. I kinda feel like if I put it out there, I am more accountable for it and might take steps to make a change. I am hoping to do another post about that soon and I think you will be inspired by it.
But for now, I thought I'd do an update on my princess business, Storybook Adventures.
Let me just begin by saying how CRAZY it is starting a business not knowing a THING about how it works. I still know that I dont know anything-(What?) Ya... it's about as clear as mud.
One thing I've been working on is costumes. Obviously that's one thing I know I need.
All I can say is, "WOW."
Wow because my mom has been AMAZING in helping me get just the right materials and been helping me like crazy. She is a genius. Wow because our seamstress made an amazing dress out of another dress and Merida (from Brave) has never looked better. Wow because I found a company in the UK that makes fabulous wigs and got them to me in a week. A WEEK!
Wow because it is costing a flippin arm and a leg! Thank goodness I can write off those for my taxes and hopefully I can start doing parties soon.
I have my Merida costume done and its pictured here, its not the best pic because I dont have any makeup and its dark... I am getting professional ones soon.
I am almost done with Rapunzel. I cant stand the colors in her dress but it looks like the movie and kids will love it. It looks like a unicorn barfed on her. (You think I'm joking)
I am working on my Tinkerbell dress and have no idea when I'll be done because I want it to look super authentic and it will take awhile to gather the appropriate materials.
I also am working on putting together Briar Rose (The Once Upon a Dream dress) and Ariels Kiss the Girl dress.
Aaaaand lets not forget about little old Cinderella... I have a dress I'm refashioning but that could take awhile. And I have Snow White of course.
It's pretty exciting! My goal was to be up and running by February and it looks like I will be pretty close to accomplishing my goal. Cross your fingers and toes for me!
